A young guy had recently proposed to his girlfriend and her father was being really stern and old-fashioned about it.  He said to the young guy, "Son, do you think you can support a family?"

The young guy said, "Well, no.  I was just planning on supporting your daughter.  I think the rest of you are going to have to get along on your own."
