Radon Inspections
National Property Inspections (NPI) in Northern West Virginia performs short-term (48-hour) radon inspections as a convenience for our clients. Whether or not you are having a property inspection done, we can perform the radon test on your home or business. We will provide a written report with the hourly emissions statistics and a summary of levels for the period tested.
Why should I get a radon test?
Radon is a colorless, odorless, & tasteless gas that, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U. S. A background level of radon exists in most of North America, both inside and outside. Your neighbors can have no traces of radon in the home, and the level in your house can be high. There is currently no way to determine radon levels in a home except for having a test performed. Testing normally takes only 48 hours, and a written report will be issued within 24 hours thereafter. Check here to see if you're in one of the areas where levels indicate testing is advised.
Why choose NPI? Your NPI inspector is thoroughly trained and insured. Your local NPI inspector is certified through the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP) of the National Environmental Health Association (NRPP/NEHA) as a Residential Measurement Provider - ID Number 104193 RT, and through the State of West Virginia Office of Environmental Health Services.
